Barringa, Marcia. "Employee Accuses Stanford of Health and Safety Violations," Nature 331 (4
February 1988), p. 382.
Here is a report that an employee at Stanford University has blown the whistle on the University
for laxity in protecting employees from the hazards of the research it is doing. The
whistle-blower has resigned in protest because no one was listening to his complaints. Stanford's
President Kennedy has appointed a committee to look into the affair.
