Benefits of Andadasi
Andadasi (Cassua sophera Linn.) is associated to the Family Caesalpiniaceae, popularly known as kasondi senna. It is a shrubby herb that is closely allied to Cassia occidentalis (Balatog-aso). Mostly found throughout India and in most tropical countries, it can also be found in the Philippines from Northern to Central Luzon.
The shrubs leaves are considered to be used for their anti-inflammatory, anti-rheumatic, and purgative property. It is also used as an expectorant for cough, cold, bronchitis, asthma, and for the treatment of liver disorders.
