Benefits of Apanang-gubat
With its scientific name eupatorium japonicum, this plant is also known as Japanese bog orchid, Japanese boneset, and Japanese thorough-wort in English. It usually grows in thickets in the Batan Islands at low altitudes. It also occurs in Japan, China, and Taiwan.
Apanang-gubat has anodyne, antibacterial, antidandruff, antiviral, carminative, diaphoretic, diuretic, nervine, and vermifuge effect. This plant is consumed in the form of tea to treat indigestion. Roots are also efficient for the circulation and restoration to women after parturition. Herb soaked in oil is used as a treatment for dandruff.
