Benefits of Arnica
With its scientific names arnica montana and arnica helvetica, this plant is also known as leopard’s bane, wolf’s bane, and mountain arnica in English. It is famous for its large, yellow, flower head. This plant is abundant across Europe but is considered extinct in Hungary and Lithuania. Its bark taste bitter and acrid while it smells just like apples.
Arnica is believed to promote healing of wounds and bruises. It can also relieve stomach and abdominal pains. It has also antispasmodic, carminative, diuretic, emollient, expectorant, parasitic, vulnerary, estrogenic, galactagogue, and emmenagogue effects.
