Benefits of Bael

Bael is also known as Bengal Quince, Eagle marmelos, Wood apple (Common name), scientific name Aegle marmelos, it is belong to Rutaceae family. It is a species of tree native in India, Nepal, and Myanmar. Its fruit also used as a medicine and as a food throughout its range. It is a small to medium-sized tree, up to 13m tall with slender drooping branches and rather shabby crown.

Some of studies that the root, bark, fruits, flowers of it are also used as a medicine, considered as antibacterial, anti-ulcer, anti-fungal, antidiabetic, antioxidant, and wound healing. Leaves are of therapeutic value and used in lowering of blood cholesterol.
