Seldom do the battles between judges get brought to the attention of the public. Judges are
supposed to be special kinds of people. Here is a report of a brouhaha in Cleveland where the
Chief Federal Judge (the Administrative Head of the Federal District) has been raked over by his
colleagues, who accuse him of all sorts of abuses of power.
The Chief Judge is Frank J. Battisti, who has been Chief Judge for some 16 years and has a
reputation for running things. There will undoubtedly be more of this.
