Diagnosing Mycosis Fungoides

Mycosis fungoides is often mistaken for common skin conditions such as psoriasis, chronic dermatitis or chronic fungal infection. We have the experience necessary to provide an accurate diagnosis for this condition. We may order a biopsy, the only way to confirm the diagnosis. During a biopsy, a small skin sample of yours is taken and examined under a microscope. Other diagnostic tests may include:

  • Blood analysis
  • Chest X-ray
  • Computed tomography (CT) scan
  • Positron emission tomography (PET) scan
