Benefits of Anthurium
With its scientific name anthurium andraeanum linden ex André, this plant is also known as flamingo flower, oilcloth flower, tall flower, or painter’s palette in English. Anthurium is typically cultivated in Baguio area in pots or cut flower because of its longevity. It is also used as ornaments.
This plant is also considered as antimicrobial and act as an air-filter. Anthurium is reportedly used to treat boils while its crushed leaves are rubbed to treat caterpillar sores. In China, this plant is used for rheumatic pains.
